BoxSight is a mobile-first inventory app built for real-world storage. Photograph the contents of a box, closet, drawer, cabinet, or shelf, and the app will itemize it for you. Later, search for an item and the app will tell you exactly where it lives.

This guide covers everyday use, admin tasks, and how the app stores your data.

What you can do

• Organize by project — a house, a move, an estate, a renovation, or any other collection of spaces.
• Add rooms such as Garage, Basement, Attic, Master Closet, or Storage Shed.
• Create boxes that represent any container: literal boxes, dresser drawers, file cabinets, storage totes, shelves, or closets.
• Upload photos and let the AI list the items it sees.
• Print QR labels so you can open a box page instantly from a phone camera.
• Search across all projects by item name, category, box number, or notes.
• Use the metadata elsewhere — the app writes standard XMP sidecars and embedded metadata that tools like digiKam can read.
